Ever since having Addison life has gotten cranked up a notch or two! Corbin is 2 1/2 and Addison is 10 months! I can’t believe we survived the infancy phase for the second time! Definitely NOT my favorite phase but I have appreciated it and what it brought into our home. When Corbin turned 2 he wasn’t saying many words so we had him be evaluated and was referred to Lori-Ann Infant School where Corbin has grown in all areas of development! We go once a week and he loves it! I leave Addison at home with a babysitter and I am able to focus and play with him for two hours! It really has been the best thing for him and us as he is a very passionate, stubborn, boy! We have learned things to help him with those “terrible twos” and help encourage him to communicate better. Addison loves to keep up with him and he has warmed up to her in so many ways. Maybe not sharing his toys, but he is getting there!
This summer we have really tried making our backyard fun to play with and we got a swing set, sand box, and mini trampoline. It gets used multiple times a day. With the intense heat here in Fresno, it isn’t that much fun to be out ALL day, but we certainly take advantage in the morning and evenings!
Addison is standing and cruising around furniture, we guess she will be walking very soon! she is a joy to be around and so so cute! I just squish her cheeks and kiss her all day! I am really enjoying having two kids instead of just one! they really do play well and the day goes by so quickly. When I think about the future and them growing up I get so excited for all the fun things we will do as a family and what their personalities will evolve into!
We still aren’t taking many summer trips. Kevin and I have learned from many experiences that it is no fun traveling with a baby and toddler. Addison hates being in her car seat for long periods and Corbin is emotional with his sleep schedule off! So we decided to stay home and go swimming, play outside, and I am taking Corbin to the jump park a lot more which he LOVES! I am definitely ok with all of that for now!
